Portfolio Pages on Facebook

blog picFacebook, by far, is one of the most popular social media services used by individuals, businesses and non-profits to connect online. Facebook Pages are a great option for making a presence on this large platform.

In March of 2009, Facebook redesigned the ‘Facebook Page’, giving users the option of a tabbed interface. The tabbed interface gives users the ability to create customizable tabs. The portfolio tab, a marketing favorite, has given users the ability to make visually appealing pages and hyperlink to targeted destinations.

A good example is our client, Amba Towel Warmers fan page. Here we created a beautiful graphics page to display their products; each product image is hyperlinked to their website landing page that features that product. This is a great feature because it makes specific/deeper information much more accessible to those interested in learning more about a company and what they have to offer.

Another great example is the Forever Remember fan page portfolio. Forever Remember, a Marietta non-profit initiative had a need for a highly visual page, considering the project is focused around a statue and is such a community effort.  The use of the portfolio page is great way to show the actual miniature bronze so people can see what it actually looks like. Fans can view the projected future location and at the same time be able to click on hyperlinks that will take them to specific pages on the Forever Remember website.
